Some superb courses have been created in tourist cities, thus allowing visitors to go there for both sport and tourism. Marrakesh today has three such courses. The first and the oldest, the Royal golf, built in 1920 and opened in 1923, has associated itself with the Palmeraie Golf Palace, a luxury hotel complex that has the distinction of having been built in a magical palm grove. This excellent idea was used again by the Amelkis Golf courses, an integrated complex with luxurious villas and a top class hotel, Amanjena. In winter, three hours from cloudy European skies, golfers can enjoy their sport in the midst of palm groves, with a fairy tale view of snow-capped Atlas.Most of the hotels of the red city offer the possibility to play on those three courses.

Informations for golfers

Green fees are generally lower than in Europe and vary from about £8 to £36. Many of the hotels can arrange tee times and offer free transfers to the courses. Experienced golfers should take their handicap certificate. Pre-booking is recommended. For more details contact us
